The M V Australia (a Tanker of 18,583 Tons) was built in 1928 by the Sun Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Company of Chester PA. Originally named the Mary Ellen O'Neil, the Australia was torpedoed and sunk off Cape Hatteras in 1942. |
